a little tip:
Gather the things that you need to build a sandcastle. Choose an ideal area for building. Any sandcastle that is worth building well will take at least half a morning or afternoon, so avoid any areas of the beach where there are tides coming in. Alternately, select an area of sand that has been laid aside especially for the purpose of sandcastle building. Commence by designing the sandcastle in your mind or even on paper. The level of complexity will depend on how much time you have, how clever you are at building and whether or not you have friends to help. The best rule is to start simple before advancing to more complex designs. Consider these simple options:
Simple upturned bucket with moat; Several upturned buckets to make a tower effect;
Several upturned buckets to create a real castle; Upturned buckets interwoven with mounds, shaped wet sand and other elements (only for the experienced sandcastle maker or for the true experimenter) Join walls together with the aid of your small spade. Smooth out joins with additional sand to create an effect without breaks. Consider adding such features as:
Moat
Gateway and bridge
Windows
Staircase
Decorate the sandcastle with shells, seaweed, pebbles and driftwood. Use your imagination to create special effects and to decorate with a method in mind. For the best sand, mix some water with the dry sand it will make it stronger and will not fall down if hit by a wave. If you want you castle to be creative use some non toxic food coloring in the water if you choose to do so.
